About Gwendolyn Green
The music you choose for your wedding ceremony serves as the backdrop; it sets the stage and the pace of your ceremony. It signifies your entrance as you walk down the aisle and is the first piece of music you hear once you have had your first kiss and are pronounced husband and wife.
I have over 15 years experience performing at weddings and parties as part of a quartet and as a soloist. In high school I joined a professional symphony and also taught private violin and viola lessons. Upon graduating college, music was put aside to attend graduate school, and I am now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Tampa.
After planning my own wedding in 2005 I was reminded of the passion I have for playing the violin and I also found a new love for weddings. I understand how important it is to have vendors who care about your wedding as much as you do...or at least who understand how important it is to you. I typically play traditional wedding music (see the repertoire page), but can also adapt your favorite modern songs to be played on the violin.
I understand the stress of planning a wedding. While it is exciting and a joyous time, it can feel like you are never done! Even just days before the wedding couples often realize that there is more to do. Let me help you! If not already included by your planner or officiant, I can direct the wedding rehearsal. Too many times I've seen brides and grooms stress over already having so much to do but then have to run their own rehearsal as well. It may seem like one more little detail, but I know from my own wedding and the weddings that I've helped plan that it all adds up and can become very overwhelming!
I welcome the opportunity to help you with your special event to make your event everything you are hoping for!
